Daying Ering College of School Education (DECTE), Pasighat was established in 2007 with the sole aim of catering to Teacher Education in Arunachal Pradesh. It is the second college under private sector in the state offering B.Ed Course for  secondary school teachers. As such it is expected to fulfill the need of the Teacher Training in the entire state and in th Eastern Districts of Arunachal Pradesh in particular.

The college has been established in its own 44 Hectare Land at the foothills donated by the family of Lt. Dr. Daying Ering, the pioneering socio-political leader of Arunachal Pradesh, the college was renamed as Daying Ering College of Teacher Education, was re-affililiated to Rajiv Gandhi University and was duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide order no. F.ERC/NCTE/ERCAPE00564/B.Ed. (Revised Order)/2015/31617 dated 09/05/2015 for 2 year B.Ed. programme with having 2 units. The college has also applied for composite course which was likely to be started from current academic session if not next academic session.

The college has been in full pursuit of qualitative teacher education through the pre-service and in-service training of secondary school teachers and therefore enough Weightage has been given to the practical sessions of the scholastic and non-scholastic pragrammes of the B.Ed Course. The college is also proud of its strict adherence to the carefully prepared Academic Calendar all throughout the programmes of the year.
